About Us
Matt brings more than 20 years of full-time experience to his real estate work. He is broker-owner of RE/MAX Realty Associates with offices in Champaign, Mahomet, and Monticello, Illinois. Matt earned both his B.S. in psychology and his Juris Doctor from the University of Illinois. He served as 2012 President of the Champaign County Association of REALTORS®, and he was the first and only person from the Champaign County area to serve as president of the 50,000 member Illinois REALTORS® trade organization in 2018.
Matt's professional honors have included 2013 Champaign County Association of REALTORS® REALTOR® of the Year; 2015 Central Illinois Business Magazine's "40 Under 40" Man of the Year; and the first and only person to receive the Chicago Association of REALTORS® Industry Partners Titan Award for his work promoting fair housing and greater inclusion in the real estate industry.
Matt is a member of the REALTORS® Political Action Committee (RPAC) Hall of Fame. RPAC is a non-partisan PAC that invests in candidates and public officials who work to protect and promote home ownership, and who support promotion of strong communities and a vibrant business environment. He views his more than $25,000 in cumulative RPAC contributions as an investment in protecting that which is the greatest asset of most of his clients: real estate.
Matt's entire team believes in giving back to the communities it serves. Matt is a past board president (and current board member) of the Mahomet Area Youth Club. He can also be found emceeing the organization's annual charity auction and half-marathon. He also sponsors Feeding our Kids, Mahomet Music Festival, the Mahomet-Seymour PTO, and the Champaign County Humane Society, among others.
