About Me

Bill was born in Poughkeepsie NY and grew up in Hyde Park till 12yrs and then moved to Northern NH. Graduated from Pittsburg NH High School and then was hired as the youngest VT State Trooper ever at 18 years old in 1977. Worked as a uniformed trooper in Northern VT, was promoted to Sergeant in 1987. Continued working as a patrol supervisor and a Public Information officer. Transitioned to Traffic Safety division and retired in 2003. Bill then worked for Decatur Electronics selling police radar, signs and video in New England and New York as their sales manager. In 2005 he went to work for Kevin Russell and Associates the Whelen sales representatives for New England. Worked with police, fire, rescue and public works departments all over New England to get them the safety equipment they needed. In 2016 Bill relocated to Spring Hill Florida , got his real estate license in 2017 and joined the Hardy Team at RE/MAX Marketing Specialists. Was lead salesperson on the team through 2022. Started the Merritt Team at RE/MAX Marketing Specialists in March of 2023 with his wife Jocelyn Jane Merritt. They specialize in residential homes in Hernando, Pasco and Citrus counties.
