Walter Sarmiento
Licensed Real Estate Associate Broker
Grab a cup of coffee and let’s get to know each other! I was born in Cuenca, Ecuador, and moved to Brooklyn at age 4. English was my second language, but I excelled in school, leading me to Syracuse University, where I graduated in 2002. I didn’t have specific career goals but wanted to be successful and perhaps run my own business. Unfortunately, I didn’t take college seriously, leaving me unprepared for adulthood. A week after graduation, I bought three books on success, marking the start of my lifelong journey of personal improvement. I worked at a financial services company for three years, barely making enough to cover my low living expenses at home. A turning point came when I broke my glasses at a concert and couldn’t afford replacements. That’s when I decided to make a change. A friend suggested I become a real estate agent, but I initially resisted, thinking it was too similar to my financial job. Eventually, I got my real estate license in 2007 and committed to mastering the craft of selling homes. Since then, I’ve helped over 500 families in the Bronx and Westchester, finding fulfillment in my work and personal growth. I married in 2021, and we’re planning to start a family soon. I enjoy spending time with my wife and family, playing tennis, and love board games! Today, I’m grateful to be a full-time real estate agent, helping my clients sell their homes in Westchester and the Bronx, empowering them to move confidently to the next chapter of their lives.
