I have been in the real estate industry since 1982 including mortgage financing and not-for-profit work, having a certification in Homeownership & Community Lending from NeighborWorks America. After 20+ years of working in the mortgage industry, I went into Foreclosure Prevention with Opportunities for Chenango, helping to keep homeowners in their homes & explore alternative options to foreclosure. I also helped develop/manage the First Time Homebuyer Program at the Binghamton Homeownership Academy and most recently obtained my HUD counseling certification. I have dedicated my career to putting buyers in their first home and to keeping homeowners in their homes during periods of hardship and financial stress as a short sale/pre-foreclosure specialist. I recently earned the designation of Senior Real Estate Specialist and am eagerly looking forward to assisting 55+ year old homeowners and buyers downsize, move from their current family home to a smaller residence or rental or out of the area entirely. My work includes a relationship with Broome County Habitat for Humanity to counsel and educate partner families through the homeownership process.
