About Me
Lee Gregory’s North Carolina roots run deep along the Blue Ridge Escarpment, and those roots travel back generations. His great-great grandfather was a visionary who built roads through these mountains and had the foresight to bequeath his land to the state park system to preserve it for future generations. Lee approaches his work with the same attitude of stewardship and reverence for the unique ecology and beauty inherent in this area. Having spent his early years here, his family relocated to the commuter town of Rumson, New Jersey, just outside of New York City.
After a stint in art school in Colorado, where he studied fine art photography, he returned to NYC to work with the renowned Stancil Studios, putting his artistic skills to use doing decorative painting in some of the most iconic residences in the city. But his love of this area was too strong a draw to keep him there, and he moved back. Lee has worked in fine woodworking and furniture making, done his fair share of construction and remodeling, and is now using those skills to help clients bring to fruition their vision of home in this incomparable landscape.
When Lee isn’t hiking with his three golden retrievers in the Nantahala Forest or tagging raptors on Bald mountain, he can be found playing music with his wife Jenny or paddling on the Chattooga River with their four children, Ben, Jamie, Sophie and Sara.
