About Me
I grew up in Holland, MI, and attended Holland Christian. After high school I attended Grand Rapids Community College and Calvin College where I played basketball as well as received an associates degree and Bachelor's Degree in History respectively. I continued my education with grad school at Aquinas College where I received a Master's In Education as well as a teacher's certificate.
I never entered the sphere of education though, except to coach basketball. I coached for many years at all levels from elementary age to high school in both the school setting and travel basketball. Basketball is a passion of mine and I have instilled it into my family!!
My professional career has been in the building trades for the past 20+ years. I have been a self-employed business owner both as a residential builder and mason contractor. In 2011 I became the Chief Estimator at a Holland based masonry contractor company. In 2019 I stepped into Real Estate and have enjoyed it ever since!
I have saved the best for last!! I am married to my beautiful wife Linda, who I met in college. She attended Grand Valley University and is currently self employed and maintains homes/businesses in different capacities. We have 4 boys: Vince, Jalen, Bryce, and Luke. We enjoy outdoor activities and sports such as hiking, scuba diving, skiing, playing spike ball, and we are on the water a lot in the summer boating! We also enjoy relaxing at home as a family watching a good movie! We currently attend Central Wesleyan Church.
