About Me
Eric grew up in the midwest where he was active in athletics and academics, including playing Division 1 football as a starting quarterback for the Eastern Illinois Panthers. He and his lovely wife, Melanie, met there before getting married. They have 3 adult children and currently have 3 beautiful grandchildren.
Eric has enjoyed several different careers, starting as a Certified Public Accountant before moving into distribution and manufacturing where he was an executive for Caterpillar, Inc., as well as their Georgia dealer, Yancey Bros. He retired from the Cat business in 2020 and started building custom homes on Lake Wedowee, which he continues to do.
He and Melanie have lived on the lake since 2016 - at first, part-time before moving here permanently in 2020. He is passionate about the growth opportunities presented by Lake Wedowee and the surrounding communities and is excited to be able to help clients find or build their dream home here!
