About Me
I've lived in Oxford most of my life, save a few years in south Louisiana and a year in Alabama - 48 years total. I am a two-time University of Mississippi graduate, with a BAE and an MAE. After a 29 year career in higher education, I retired from the University as Director of Admissions, Emeritus. I am married to Stacey and we have one 19 year old daughter who attends The University and is majoring in Psychology with a minor in Southern Studies. Stacey also works at Ole Miss in the College of Liberal Arts as Program Coordinator for the Dean and got her Master's degree in Southern Studies several years ago. While at Ole Miss I taught the Freshman Year Experience course for 19 years, and even authored and co-authored a book chapter for the text we wrote and used in the course. I've spoken to literally hundreds of thousands of people about Ole Miss, Admissions, Orientation, Leadership and academic success. I have given hundreds if not thousands of tours of Oxford and Ole Miss and am intimately familiar both.
I was honored to receive the Frist Student Service Award, the School of Education Distinguished practitioner award, and really enjoyed my life at the University. My best memories are working with the parents and students of potential and new enrollees, and have many friends I called colleagues for many years.
I am a fan of Ole Miss sports, love to read, watch movies, and go to garage sales. I'm fortunate to be related to the Mistilis family in Oxford, and call my cousins brothers and sisters. I remember old Oxford, but revel in all the new that happens every day. I'd love to help you with any real estate needs you have, and am never too busy to take your call or referral!
