About Me
Teresa Harris is currently a Broker with RE/MAX Metro in Charlotte, North Carolina. Her office is located in the trendy, laid-back neighborhood Plaza Midwood section of the Queen City. Teresa’s story starts in Celina, Ohio where she was born. Immediately, after the move to Charlotte her family settled into the Olde Stonehaven neighborhood where she attended the neighborhood junior and senior high schools. Teresa is a graduate from Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, NC with a BS in Business Administration. She became a licensed NC Broker in 1988.
Her father became an entrepreneur by purchasing his first investment property, in Charlotte in 1976. That started the beginning of purchasing several more. She has been active in the maintenance and management of these properties. Teresa and her husband Eric started purchasing their own investment properties in the 1988 as well.
Teresa has a "servient mind set". Above all she want’s what is best for her clients. To help serve better she holds several Realtor Designations: Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR), Seller Representative Specialist (SRS), and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). Realtor Certifications: At Home With Diversity (AHWD), Military Relocation Professional (MRP), Pricing Strategy Advisor (PSA), Real Estate Negotiation Expert (RENE), and Short Sale & Foreclosure (SRF) and is close to getting her Graduate, REALTOR Institute (GRI).
Since getting married, Teresa and her husband have made the Denver (Lake Norman area) home. They currently live in Cowans Ford and share their home with Penelope (rescue cat), and Macallan & Harper (Westies). They have one son Spencer who graduated from NC State and has made his home in South Charlotte.
Between work and family Teresa also finds time to give back to her community. Since 2016, she has been active in the animal advocacy group Helping Animals To Survive (HATS). She has served as a two term board member in the capacity of Secretary and Vice President.
