About Me
Originally from upstate New York, Rachel came to Blacksburg in 1990 to attend Virginia Tech, where she earned a degree in Finance. She fell in love with the New River Valley and all it has to offer, and decided to call it home. After a time in the banking industry, Rachel obtained her real estate license in 2007, and has been a top producing agent ever since. Rachel was honored to receive the prestigious REALTOR of the Year Award in 2011, and was inducted into the RE/MAX Hall of Fame in 2019. She has served as President of the New River Valley Association of REALTORS, Chairperson of the Virginia REALTORS Professional Development Committee, and currently serves as a director on the Virginia REALTORS Board of Directors.
Having assisted hundreds of clients through the buying and/or selling process, Rachel has honed her creative negotiating skills to obtain the best terms for her seller clients and win the best deal for her buyer clients. With a unique combination of humor and professionalism, she puts buyers and sellers at ease during the often uncertain real estate process. Her goal is to make the entire process as seamless and hands-off as possible for her clients, while balancing her expertise with a consultative approach. When asked what distinguishes Rachel from other real estate professionals, her clients describe her as, "a true professional," "mission-oriented," "genuinely caring," and "gracious and attentive."
Rachel lives in Christiansburg with her husband and son, and a whole menagerie of pets. Her hobbies include golf, bowling and playing bingo.
