Mary Matney is a third generation Realtor. Her family owned their own real estate brokerage and home building business for over 40 years in her hometown of South Point, Ohio. She grew up going on listing appointments and showings; Real Estate is in her blood! Mary & her family relocated to Summerville in 2020, and they haven't looked back since. Because of her experience in relocation, she is excited to work with those families who are considering making such a huge move. The endless charm & history of the Charleston Area is what lured Mary's family to the Lowcountry, so she is very eager to show the world what this little corner of the Lowcountry has to offer!
With a Master's degree in Educational Administration, Mary has a long history of educating people of all ages. She truly feels passionate about transferring her educator skills to help her clients learn the ins and outs of the home buying and selling experience. Being an educator for 14 years provided Mary with many tools to be successful in the Real Estate industry. She relies on her extensive data analysis experience to help her evaluate market trends to set the best possible price that will be alluring, yet still garner the best offers for her seller clients, and to help her buyer clients make offers a seller can't refuse. She uses her deep understanding of the emotional intelligence to develop lasting relationships with her clients that go well beyond the closing table. Loyalty and trust are two key characteristics that Mary uses to build the foundation of her business. She is dedicated to providing an incomparable real estate experience.
