About Me

Jim Paxton understands the complexities that can accompany the home buying or selling transaction and is well equipped to help his clients through the often stressful and emotional process. As the former owner of an insurance agency for over 30 years, Jim is uniquely qualified to help navigate his clients through what are frequently viewed as confusing areas of the process such as home inspections, repairs, and construction. With a strong connection to the people of Southern Maryland, Jim’s desire to provide the best possible service drives his daily decision-making. His experience in caring for clients who have gone through some of the worst situations possible demonstrate his commitment to keeping his clients informed at every step and being available should there be any concerns. His family relocated to Calvert County when he was a child and Jim now resides here with his wife, Jeanine, who is also a REALTOR® with RE/MAX One. Inspired by achieving a healthy work-life balance, Jim enjoys pheasant and ruffed grouse hunting with his three bird dogs, competing in Spartan races, woodworking, and spending time with his family. Their children graduated from Huntingtown High School and his daughter is currently a dean at Wendy Hill Middle School and his son is a lawyer and works for the United States government. Jim has membership with the Southern Maryland English Setter Club, the Ruffed Grouse Society, Pheasants Forever, and is a volunteer at the Calvert Marine Museum.
