About Me
Jackie Wellwood has been involved with real estate transactions for over 40 years. As a loan processor, loan officer and builder finance manager she was strategic in making sure the details were executed on time and accurately. Jackie's ease in working with people coupled with her attention to detail make her an excellent choice for new home buyers, families with children (she has seven of her own) and empty nesters ready to downsize. Particularly good at finding out what matters most to buyers and sellers, Jackie has a priority of simplifying the process while minimizing stress.
Born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, Jackie finished her four year degree in Business Administration at Elmhurst University. Elmhurst is where the met her high school sweetheart;, Jim, who has been her husband for over 40 years. Their seven children are now grown which gives Jim time to join Jackie in the real estate industry as a home inspector. Together they enjoy the peace and quiet of a 10 acre farm in Central IL. Their seven children have various distinctions such as mother of twins, ER nurse, firefighter, licensed massage therapist, union carpenter and more. Jackie loves her role as grandma and particularly excels in the area of arts and crafts. With 8 grandchildren 8 years old and under it is quite fun for all!
As a woman of many interests Jackie has had a variety of exciting experiences.including becoming a published author with a major Christian publisher in her 30s, running the Chicago Marathon at age 45, volunteering on a rural ambulance service in her 50s as well as serving as a personal trainer for a year. In the last few years acrylic painting has become a favorite hobby.
Jackie loves people and helping them achieve their goals. Being intuitive and sensitive to the needs of others allows her to succeed as. she works hard for her buyers and sellers. Her most recent book is titled: Lead With Your Integrity which pretty much sums up her approach to real estate.
