About Me
Born in a small town in Maine, Cheryl was an active outgoing kid who enjoyed physical games like capture the flag, tin can alley and others. She also showed early signs of needing to express herself on stage or in other social settings. Performing in Church choirs, on a neighborhood stage and in small group settings. Cheryl excelled in high school and decided early on Television News would be her career and it was. Cheryl started at the Public News stations while still in College and worked for the NBC affiliate her senior year and then was hired by the CBS affiliate once she graduated. She was soon off to a larger market which is Grand Rapids where she anchored the news and did health reporting. After 10 years, of being on the air she moved in to Television Management. First the Executive Producer of the News to the Assistant News Director to the News Director. It was a wonderful experience but changes in the News Business made Cheryl question what she should do for the rest of her life professionally. Owning my own business is in the Grant blood and it was a Natural to follow in my Dad's and Brother's footsteps and start my own Real Estate Team. Everything I had experienced in my first 40 years would benefit me in the next phase of my life.
In my late 30's, I found the Love OF MY Life. We have a beautiful home, 3 dogs, great friends and family. We travel all over the world and are spending some of our non-work time boating on Lake Michigan and enjoying our cottage near Saugatuck.
Life is an amazing gift. Mine is wrapped in a very large box with lots of ribbon and bright colors. Thanks to everyone who is part of our life and who have helped me become who I am.
