About Me
Tom Duxbury is a Minnesotan having been born in SE Minnesota (which Tom affectionately refers to as the beautiful Driftless area, and has resided in southern Minnesota almost all his life (except for college in Wisconsin). He was educated in Preston and then went on to the University of Wisconsin, River Falls, where he obtained a bachelor's degree in Business.
Following his formal education, Tom started a successful landscape company which he owned and operated for over 20 years. When Tom decided to try a new venture he successfully worked for almost a decade for a local heating and cooling company. There he specialized in creating indoor living spaces where the fireplace was a focal point of the home .
Recently, Tom decided to get his real estate license and joined the Gwaltney Group of RE/MAX RESULTS. He felt that his experience and expertise in advising clients on important home decisions would be a great benefit to buyers and sellers. He strives to help his clients convert their ‘dream-home’ into a reality
Tom and his wife, Sara have three adult children and 2 four-legged family members- an English Mastiff(Sage) and a Golden Labrador (Bella). In Tom’s spare time, he enjoys spending time at his cabin, located on an island, accessible only by boat on Lake Vermillion. There he and his family enjoy fishing, hiking and biking the many state trails surrounding the lake. In other seasons he enjoys snowshoeing, cross country, skiing and hunting. In addition, Tom is quite active in his community, having served many roles on the school board, Peoples Coop advisory committee and Chatfield Carecenter Board.
