A waterfront specialist and avid angler, she was the owner/operator of Reel Women Charters for many years offering “no yelling” fishing instruction and harbor orientations for new residents. Active in this vibrant community, she volunteers with Labrador Retriever Rescue of Southwest Florida, the Charlotte County Homeless Coalition, Habitat for Humanity, and the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association. Punta Gorda is an historic quaint and charming small town that lies along beautiful unspoiled Charlotte Harbor. Located just 30 miles north of Fort Myers and 100 miles south of Tampa, Punta Gorda has its own airport and Charlotte County offers miles of unspoiled white sandy beaches, world class fishing and has been named as a top sailing destination. Charlotte Harbor, a protected aquatic preserve, is also ideal for kayakers and fly fishermen. .
