About Me

Matthew Byrd, REALTOR. I’m a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, Indiana. From playing little league baseball at Foster Park to my studies at Purdue University Fort Wayne. My geographic pedigree is all Allen County, Indiana.

After college, I worked for a local mortgage company as their systems manager and real estate closing department auditor. In 2002, I left the mortgage company and started my career in the title insurance industry. During my tenure in the title industry. I’ve witnessed just about every kind of scenario in a real estate transaction. Over the 28 years in the title insurance and escrow services. I’ve managed offices, regions, sales, owned companies and closed units.

In April of 2022, I decided to retire that chapter of my life and finish my professional career as a Broker. For nearly three decades, I’ve been the independent party, on thousands of real estate transactions. The title professional that ensures the contact is executed with full terms, agreed by all parties and release all funds after closing.

Finding a great house is one task. Managing all of the intricate details of a real estate closing, is another.

My family is big into fun; we are always trying different things. But you wouldn’t believe how competitive we get. Regardless, if it’s chess, basketball, darts, kickball or mini golf. The Byrd crew comes to win. Full disclosure! When playing kick-ball Dad can only power walk, so seeing this 48-year-old move like those marathon power walkers on ESPN is hilarious. A family tradition for Christmas is our matching theme t-shirts.

In my free time, I enjoy playing golf, home improvement projects, motorcycle trips, wrenching on my Harley, running, hiking, playing basketball, trap & target shooting. Really most of all, spending time with my family and friends.
