I spent twenty-three years as a nurse. Eighteen of them traveling the country on contract. Travel nursing meant a new hospital every few months, a new town, new people, and a suitcase that never fully got unpacked. You learn a lot living that way. Mostly you learn how much it matters to land somewhere that feels like yours. You also learn to pay attention. Twenty-three years of walking into a room and reading it before anybody says a word. That habit doesn't switch off. It just found a new use. I'm a licensed agent with Remax Broadwater, and I've lived in this valley my whole life. Since 2008, I've been buying, renovating, and selling homes on my own, and I manage my own rentals. So when I walk a property with you, I'm not only looking at the paint. I'm looking at how the ground slopes, where the light lands, what somebody took care of and what they let go. I'll tell you what I see- the good and the rest of it. Most of what I notice is a reason to like a place more, not less. But you should go in with your eyes open, and I'd rather be the one who mentions it than have you find out later. I grew up in a family business that's been running in this valley for over 100 years and is still going. That's where I learned your name is the only thing you really own.
