I like people of all ages, but I have a special place for seniors who are downsizing. I have a varied background, but everything seems to revolve around helping people figure out what they want, and then guiding them there. I've traveled a lot--I spent a year backpacking around Europe and north Africa, and have traveled even more since then--and I like working with people from other countries. I am a caregiver to my husband, who is now disabled due to his military service in Vietnam. I know a lot about how the VA programs work, and am all too familiar with wheelchairs, stair lifts, ramps and the ADA. My most fun job: producing and hosting a public affairs talk show (KQRS). I enjoy exploring all kinds of topics--the hotter, the better! I believe in getting involved: I served on boards of directors, including the University of Minnesota Board of Publication (which oversaw the largest student newspaper in the nation), Theatre in the Round (local amateur theatre), RESOLVE of the Twin Cities (infertility and adoption) and ADPi Alumni Association. I volunteered in my sons' classrooms and transformed the annual fundraiser into a powerhouse. So what do I do for fun now? I play Scrabble competitively in tournaments. I read books. A. Lot. of. Books. I garden.
