Karen Bartlett
NC REALTOR / Broker-In-Charge
Broker-in-Charge/Owner, RE/MAX Awenasa – Sylva, NC With 19 years of real estate sales experience in Western North Carolina and 25 years as a resident of the region, I bring unmatched knowledge of local markets, communities, and lifestyle opportunities. As Broker-in-Charge and Owner of RE/MAX Awenasa, located in Sylva, NC—the college town of Western Carolina University—I specialize in residential, land, and investment properties. In addition to my brokerage, I am a legacy owner of Mountain Memories Vacation Rentals in Bryson City (www.MMVRentals.com), featuring log homes and mountain escapes. My development experience includes Bartlett Glen Cove Subdivision (Bryson City) and Smoky View Estates (Sylva), as well as ownership and management of Everett Street Properties, a portfolio of long-term rental apartments. Beyond real estate, I am passionate about interior design, decorating, and nature—especially birds, butterflies, and mushroom identification. I am also a proud Lifetime Member of the Girl Scouts of the USA, having recently completed my third consecutive three-year term on the Board of Directors for the Carolina Peaks to Piedmont Council (www.girlscoutsp2p.org | info@girlscoutsp2p.org | 1-800-672-2148).
