I was born and raised in the once small town of Gilbert, Arizona, where life centered around family, community, church, and sports. I learned early that hard work, integrity, and showing up for others mattered. Some of my earliest lessons in responsibility came in elementary school, when my younger brother and I delivered newspapers on our bikes through our Old West neighborhood near Gilbert and Elliot roads. Back then, Gilbert had a true small-town feel where it seemed like everyone knew everyone, and that sense of community is something I’ll always cherish. I graduated from Gilbert High School in 1990, when there was still only one high school in town. In high school, I worked in the fields throughout the Gilbert and Queen Creek area, cutting corn and baling hay, reinforcing those same values of hard work. After graduation, I served for 25 years in law enforcement. I have also built five homes as an owner-builder, personally managing the permitting, scheduling, and inspection process, which gave me valuable hands-on experience in home construction and real estate. I’ve been married to my best friend for over 32 years, and together we’ve raised four amazing kids. I have had a front-row seat to the East Valley's growth my entire life, and I truly know the area like the back of my hand.
