In the nonprofit world, John's expertise spans philanthropy, fund raising, education, cultural anthropology, comparative religious training, cross-cultural communication, and community development. John's journey in real estate began as a landlord of a rental property in metro Washington, D.C., and then expanded to include the purchase of raw land in a rural community in southern Virginia where he learned about the timber industry.
