Since 2003, Joe has worked hard to lead the real estate industry. His strong work ethic, technology skills, and service mindset has helped him deliver results to over 1,400 clients, ranking him consistently above 99% of all other agents. He is proud to serve his community in NW Ohio and SE Michigan with integrity. For over 23 years, Joe trained under Lance Tyo, one of the most respected agents in the industry. Lance led the industry with over 50 years of experience. Both Lance and Joe consistently earn(ed) the top sales award given by Northwest Ohio Realtors (Pinnacle of Performance). After Lance's death in 2026, Joe became the managing member of Tyo Mathias Team, LLC and he remains passionate about helping his clients. Joe will serve as President of the Boys & Girls Club of Toledo for the 2027/2028 cycle after more than two decades as an active member of that board. He has served on other boards including the UTMC's Medical Research Society and UT's Finance Advisory Board. Outside of work and service, Joe is a devoted husband and father of two young men, a black belt in karate, and loves boating and being on the water. In addition to receiving a bachelors degree from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Toledo, Joe has received advanced training from top real estate experts across the country. Prior to starting his real estate career, Joe spent seven years with Harbor Capital Advisors, giving him an extensive background in finance, technology, and sales that has benefited his real estate clients.
