Before returning to real estate, James Colella built a distinguished career in law enforcement — a role that shaped how he operates, communicates, and advocates for those he serves today. Rising through the ranks of the NYPD from Police Officer to Lieutenant, James ultimately retired as the Integrity Control Officer, a position of significant trust, responsibility & accountability. In that role, he oversaw approximately 100 subordinate supervisors and officers, regularly participating in executive-level meetings where policy, accountability, and operational decisions were discussed and implemented. Long before public service, James began his career in real estate over 30 years ago, building his foundation on old-fashioned values: honesty, hard work, and genuine relationships. Now fully retired, James brings the rare advantage of two careers that serve communities. Clients quickly sense the difference: clear communication, thoughtful strategy, strong advocacy, integrity, transparency, and a steady hand throughout every phase of the transaction. With strong relationships, modern marketing, and expert negotiation, he ensures homes and buyers move forward with confidence. A member of one of the North Shore’s premier country clubs, James is also actively involved in a nearly 300-member Law Enforcement Golf Club.
