James brings a remarkable background to real estate! Before earning his license, he built a distinguished career in national marketing and sales leadership for some of the world’s most recognized beverage brands, including Macallan, Bacardi, Campari, and Deep Eddy Vodka. And if that wasn’t enough, he also spent years as a working actor and musician in Los Angeles, including a record deal with Warner Bros. Safe to say, he knows how to make an impression. James also holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and an MBA in Marketing — so when he says he understands how to position, negotiate, and advocate for clients, he means it! Though originally from Naperville, Illinois, James has planted deep roots right here in Southern Maryland. He and his wife Jackie, a La Plata native, moved to Charles County five years ago to be closer to her family and to raise their two daughters, Louella (7) and Maisy (2). He and his family enjoy the open space and community feel this area offers. He’s active in local fitness circles and connected through Walter J. Mitchell Elementary School, and he’ll tell you the back roads and farmland of Southern Maryland offer some of the most beautiful scenery he’s ever seen. When he’s not working with clients, you’ll find him perfecting his cooking technique, playing music, working out, or (his words) chasing chickens around, because chickens are 'dumb'. (Yes, he has 13!) James will be working out of our La Plata office and is focused on residential real estate, with an eye toward commercial as he grows.
