Doug has a PhD, brings a unique blend of academic, international, & professional experience to his real estate career. With a background in Anthropology, Doug understands the importance of seeing things from his clients’ perspectives. He combines that insight with strategic thinking, honest communication, and a commitment to putting his clients first. Doug’s distinguished career includes seven years on the Faculty of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, serving as a Director of Regional Operations for the United Nations in Africa, working with the U.S. Department of State and USAID, and serving as a Fulbright Scholar. He also speaks Spanish at a native level and French, and has taught Spanish at Southwestern Oregon Community College. Doug and his wife, Tanya, and their children have fallen in love with the South Coast and its people. Outside of real estate, he enjoys hiking, camping, SCUBA diving, skiing, rock collecting, reading, traveling, volunteering, and spending time with his family. Doug is passionate about the future of the Bay Area and helping others discover the opportunities this beautiful community has to offer.
