About Me
I moved to Carbondale, Illinois in 1986 after meeting my now Husband. After many different jobs in the area, I never could find a job that I truly loved or had a passion for until real estate! I was a stay-at-home Mom of 3 from 1998 until 2005, when my youngest started kindergarten. I worked part time as a secretary for a church, which still gave me plenty of time to run my kids around with their busy schedules & activities. I got involved with PTO & did the room Mom thing. But once my kids were no longer needing me as much, I started thinking about what to do with my time. I have always loved looking at houses, whether it be online or driving by & dreaming what the interior looked like. I even hit a few open houses & estate sales from time to time. I decided to adventure into becoming a realtor & from the day I started, I have ABSOLUTLEY LOVED this career path. My days are never the same! I don't have to sit in an office every day. I don't have to abide by anyone else's schedule. My work hours are set by me. I meet new people, many which have now become friends! I love dealing with first time home buyers & seeing the joy & the happiness on their faces when they find that dream home! I love dealing with Veterans! I love dealing with the empty nesters looking to downsize or the newlyweds looking to start a family & wanting to increase their home size to accommodate for all those little rugrats & furbabies! I treat all my clients the same no matter what their price range may be. I look at things as if I were the one buying the house, no cutting corners. This is one of the biggest purchases anyone will ever make & it has to be perfect for them! I am a true believer in, "If it were meant to be, it will happen. If it doesn't happen, something better will come along." Buying or selling a house is a process & it can be a lot of headaches or stress for most, but I do this on a routine basis & have the passion for this industry!
