I was born and raised in Biloxi, MS and spent a lot of my early and college years on the Gulf Coast. After a short tenure as a high school teacher, I joined the U.S. Coast Guard and for the past 23.5 years served all over the United States, including Hawaii and Puerto Rico. My family and I currently live in Hampton Roads (Chesapeake) VA where we enjoy access to great beaches in VA and NC, spirit of patriotism, and access to great schools. My wife and I have been married almost 23 years and have 5 kids and a granddaughter! When I can make free time, I love to surf and paddleboard, camp, fish, ride bikes and hang out with family and friends and especially my wife!
