Youngstown
Youngstown offers a peaceful and quiet environment with calm streets that contribute to a tranquil living experience. The borough features a predominance of single detached homes, many with two or three bedrooms, providing a comfortable residential atmosphere. Convenient access to nearby restaurants adds to local amenities, while educational institutions such as primary and high schools are situated within a short distance. Excellent road connections facilitate easy travel to surrounding areas, and parking availability is generally favorable. Residents will find well-maintained housing constructed around the late 1960s along with smaller apartment options, giving a balanced mix of housing types.
Youngstown is an extremely good part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area for traveling by car. It is very easy to park, and it is a short car ride to the closest highway from any home in this borough. Youngstown is not very conducive to bicycling because cyclists encounter quite a few slopes, and the cycling infrastructure is rather poor. Most homes for sale in this borough are located in places that are also not very suitable for pedestrians since few day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle.
It is sometimes possible for property owners in Youngstown to purchase their groceries without a car. Residents are served by about 10 restaurants and coffee shops as well. As far as education is concerned, locals will find that no matter where their home is situated in Youngstown, both primary and secondary schools are close by.
One of the unique aspects of Youngstown is that it contains both vibrant and quiet areas. Although this part of the Pittsburgh metropolitan area is not known for its vibrancy, with the nightlife venues in nearby boroughs, it is very easy to find a place to grab a drink as they are generally located around the corner. At the same time, this borough is very quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Public green spaces aren't well-located, which makes it very hard to access them. Still, there are a few parks nearby for residents to unwind in.
