On the other hand, the public transit service in Windsor is not very frequent. Thankfully, house owners can rely on the Windsor and Windsor Locks on the Hartford Line. The town is served by about 10 bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily very close by. Many of the houses for sale in this area are located in places that are not very suitable for those who like to get around as pedestrians because few day-to-day errands can be run without a vehicle. The bicycle is a somewhat poor means of transportation in Windsor since there are few bike lanes, and there are a fair number of elevation changes for cyclists to brave.

High schools and primary schools are not especially numerous in Windsor, and thus not always within a short distance.
