West Lakeland is an extremely convenient township for driving. Finding a parking spot is generally easy. This township is not very suitable for pedestrians since almost no daily needs can be carried out without the use of a vehicle. The bike is a fairly poor mode of transportation in this area as there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave, and the cycling network is not very extensive.
Services
Residents may find it very difficult to get to high schools and primary schools without a vehicle. At the elementary level, both public and private schools can be found. As far as eating is concerned, in vast majority cases, a vehicle is required to shop for groceries. There are also a few opportunities for those who care about close by restaurants.
Character
People who prefer a relaxed environment will enjoy West Lakeland. Getting to parks, including Bayport WMA and Bison Prairie, is easy from many locations in the township and there are approximately 40 of them close by for residents to explore. This area is also wonderful for those who enjoy quiet surroundings, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor.
