This area is rather car friendly. The majority of houses for sale are a reasonably short car ride from the closest highway, such as Penn Lincoln Pkwy, and it is convenient to come across a parking spot. However, traveling by public transit is occasionally challenging in this part of the city. Nevertheless, there are a multitude of rapid transit stations on the South Hills Village via Overbrook, Castle Shannon via Beechview and Library via Overbrook. There are over 50 bus lines, and most homes are very close to a bus stop. Getting around as a pedestrian in this community is not very popular, although carrying out day-to-day needs is convenient without a vehicle, and a variety of businesses are rather close at hand. It is also occasionally difficult to move around by bicycle in this part of Pittsburgh since cyclists encounter a significant amount of hills, and the cycling infrastructure is sometimes poor.

It is easy to reach green spaces in the community, since there are over 100 of them nearby for residents to check out, like Herschel Park and Moore Greenway.
