This part of Burlington will appeal to people who value residing in a compact community since it is rather pedestrian-friendly; running daily errands is easy without a vehicle, and there are also a fair number of businesses nearby. Riding a bicycle is especially prevalent in Waterfront because there are a good number of bike lanes. Waterfront is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, the neighborhood is served by approximately 20 bus lines, and it is very easy to reach a nearby bus stop from most residences. In contrast, Waterfront is a fairly good part of Burlington for moving around by car. It is especially convenient to park.
Services
It is a reasonably short distance to get to both primary and secondary schools from most homes for sale in this neighborhood. Besides public schools, there are private elementary schools. Regarding eating, the nearest supermarket in Waterfront is generally only a short distance away. Likewise, there are over 50 restaurants and around 10 cafes to enjoy in this area. It is also easy to get to a variety of clothing stores as a pedestrian.
Character
Waterfront is a great neighborhood for home buyers who enjoy indoor activities. Although this area is not known for its lively ambience, finding one of the approximately 20 bars is very easy since they are generally located around the corner. Noise can sometimes be an issue in this neighborhood, as traffic during busier hours of the day can occasionally be loud, although there are still several quieter sections.
