Getting around by car is very convenient in this part of the Dayton metropolitan area. Nearby highways, such as I-70, are fairly easy to reach from anywhere in Vandalia, and parking is quite easy. However, Vandalia is not an especially convenient part of the Dayton metropolitan area for traveling by public transit. Thankfully, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily around the corner. Vandalia is not particularly bicycling-friendly as the area is not especially flat, and there are few bike lanes. Vandalia is also not very convenient for pedestrians since running common errands is at times difficult without needing to get in a car.

Primary schools are easy to get to as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in this city. In contrast, high schools are not very plentiful and thus may require an extended distance to get to.
