Driving is a very good transportation option in University Park. It is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, the transit access in this village is fairly poor. Thankfully, house owners benefit from the University Park and Richton Park on the Metra Electric. There are a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most houses. It is at times challenging to move around by bicycle in University Park as the terrain is not especially flat, and there are few bike lanes. University Park is also not very well-suited for pedestrians since very few common errands can be run without needing a vehicle.

Property owners in University Park generally have to turn to a vehicle to do grocery shopping. There are also a few opportunities for those who appreciate close by restaurants. With respect to education, residents will appreciate that wherever their home is located in University Park, primary schools are nearby. University Park is a wonderful village to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. The noise levels in this village are very low, as the streets tend to be very peaceful. Lastly, there are around 30 green spaces close by for residents to discover, like Nathaniel Manilow Sculpture Park and Somonauk Park, which makes them very easy to get to.
