Lower Providence
Trooper offers a serene community characterized by quiet streets with minimal noise, creating a peaceful atmosphere. The neighborhood features a diverse mix of charming single detached homes and townhouses, many built during the mid to late 20th century, contributing to its unique character. Residents benefit from convenient access to several elementary schools, both public and private, and numerous restaurants and cafes nearby provide a variety of dining options. While green parks are not located within the community, well-placed parks in neighboring areas are easily reachable. Parking availability is generally good, and bus lines offer access to public transit for added convenience.
Getting around by car is straightforward in Trooper. It is very easy to find a parking spot. However, public transit riders may have limited choices in Trooper as a result of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, the community is connected by a few bus lines, and most houses are very close to a bus stop. Trooper is not particularly suitable for people who prefer to get around as pedestrians as meeting daily needs is sometimes difficult without the use of a vehicle. The bike is a sometimes poor mode of transportation in this part of the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area as riding is made strenuous by the often hilly area, and the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive.
Primary schools are easy to access as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in Trooper. In contrast, it can be very difficult to access high schools without a car. Property owners have the option of public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. When it comes to food, a grocery store is usually reachable within a reasonably short trip from any home in Trooper. Likewise, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of choices, and there are also a few cafes in this part of the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area.
