Three Lakes is very car friendly. Most houses for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway, and parking is easy. The bicycle is a sometimes poor means of transportation in Three Lakes as the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. Nonetheless, the topography is fairly flat. There are also relatively few pedestrians out on the streets of this part of the Greater Miami metropolitan area, although many daily errands can be run without a car.

There are only a very small number of high schools and primary schools in Three Lakes and therefore they can be a very long trip away. Apart from public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. As far as eating is concerned, it is easy to reach the closest supermarket without a car in this part of the Greater Miami metropolitan area. Likewise, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a good number of options, and there are also about 10 cafes in Three Lakes.

Character

The character of Three Lakes is exemplified by its calm atmosphere. Public green spaces, like Boystown Pineland County Park and Camp Matecumbe, are very well-located and there are about 10 of them close by for residents to enjoy, which makes it easy to reach them. The noise levels in this community are also very low, as the streets are very peaceful closer to the railway line.
