The Hills will draw people who appreciate living in a compact community as it is reasonably suitable for pedestrians, although common errands are sometimes difficult to run without a car. On the other hand, commuting by bicycle is occasionally challenging in The Hills since the cycling network is not very well-developed, and the terrain is not very flat. The car is often the favored method to navigate The Hills. Parking is quite easy. In contrast, public transit users may experience very limited choices in this area by reason of the service's low frequency. Nonetheless, house owners benefit from a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually very close by.
It is often an option for house buyers in this neighborhood to do groceries without a car. Furthermore, those who like to dine in restaurants will have a fair number of choices, and a limited variety of coffee shops is available as well. Regarding education, both primary and secondary schools are straightforward to reach without the need for a car from any location in The Hills. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools.
The Hills has a character that caters to a fairly diverse group of people. The noise levels in The Hills are very low, as the streets tend to be very peaceful. However, green spaces, such as The Trails Park & Pool, are very well-spread out and there are a few of them close by for residents to discover, which makes it easy to get to them. Lastly, even though this part of Las Vegas is not known for its vibrancy, with the bars in nearby neighborhoods, it is rather challenging to find a place to grab a drink since they are generally located quite far away.
