Stratton presents a calm and tranquil environment distinguished by minimal street noise and peaceful surroundings. The neighborhood is highly accessible by car, with most residences situated close to major highways and convenient parking options available. Several bus lines run through the area, and many residents have bus stops near their residences, providing additional transit possibilities. Culinary options are abundant with grocery stores, restaurants, and coffee shops conveniently located nearby. Housing offers a variety of choices including spacious one-bedroom and three-bedroom apartments as well as single detached homes, many constructed around the late 1970s, giving the area a mature residential feel.
Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in Stratton. Accessing a parking spot is easy, and most houses for sale are a rather short car ride from the nearest highway. On the other hand, the transit access in Stratton is quite bad. Nevertheless, homeowners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far from most houses. This neighborhood is not particularly convenient for pedestrians since few daily errands can be run without a car. Stratton is also not very amenable to biking as there are few bike lanes, and there is a considerable amount of elevation changes.
It is very easy to get to the closest supermarket as a pedestrian from anywhere in this area. Likewise, this part of Nashville-Davidson metropolitan government (balance) is a good place in which to eat out, and residents benefit from a few cafes as well. Concerning education, high schools and primary schools are not very abundant in this part of the city, and therefore not always within a short distance.
The character of Stratton is exemplified by its slower-paced atmosphere. Most areas in Stratton are especially quiet, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic. Parks aren't well-situated, making them occasionally challenging to reach. Still, residents will be able to access public green spaces in nearby neighborhoods.
