Southeast offers a peaceful neighborhood with a calm atmosphere and minimal street noise, providing a serene place to live. The area features primarily single detached homes built mostly after 2000, with spacious three- and four-bedroom designs. Residents value the easy access to highways, making commuting convenient. The neighborhood has several bike lanes, supporting outdoor activities related to biking. While the community itself contains a few dining options and pharmacies, many daily shopping needs are accessible with a short drive. Nearby public green spaces offer additional opportunities for outdoor recreation beyond the immediate area.
Moving around by car is especially convenient in Southeast. It is a rather short drive to the nearest highway from anywhere in this neighborhood, and parking is quite easy. Southeast is not very well-suited for pedestrians because very few day-to-day needs can be met without a vehicle. In contrast, a good number of people in the area use their bicycle as the cycling network is extensive.
Property owners in Southeast often have to rely on a vehicle to do grocery shopping. Nonetheless, it is generally a rather short trip to the nearest pharmacy, which can provide some basic food items. Residents benefit from about 40 restaurants and cafes as well. Concerning education, there are only a very small number of primary schools in this part of Reno and accordingly they can be a very long pedestrian trip away. Moreover, Southeast does not have any high schools.
Southeast is a wonderful neighborhood to buy a home in for those who prefer a relaxed atmosphere. Most areas in Southeast are especially quiet, as the streets are generally very tranquil. Public green spaces aren't well-distributed, which makes it rather challenging to get to them from the majority of locations in Southeast. Still, there are a few parks close by for residents to discover.
