Butte
South Central is a quiet neighborhood with a slower-paced environment, featuring mainly single detached homes and some duplexes built primarily before the 1960s. This area provides convenient access to schools and supermarkets within short distances, making daily errands simple. Several restaurants and coffee shops are also nearby, creating a pleasant setting for dining and socializing. Public transportation includes a few bus lines with stops generally close to residences. Parking is plentiful, and most homes have easy access to major highways by car. The neighborhood’s peaceful atmosphere combined with convenient amenities offers a comfortable living option for many residents.
This part of the city is reasonably well-suited for pedestrians; running daily errands is convenient without a vehicle. However, this neighborhood is not very bike-friendly because the bicycling infrastructure is not especially well-developed, and cyclists are faced with a considerable amount of hills. Driving is a fairly good transportation option in South Central. The majority of real estate listings are a rather short car ride from the closest highway, and accessing a parking spot is easy. In contrast, the public transit in South Central is not very practical. Thankfully, the neighborhood is served by a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is usually around the corner.
It is a rather short trip to get to primary as well as high schools from most properties for sale in South Central. Along with public schools, there are also private schools at both the elementary and high school level. When it comes to eating, a grocery store is usually accessible within a short pedestrian trip from most houses for sale in South Central. Furthermore, a restaurant is often just around the corner, and a small variety of cafes is available as well. It is also easy to reach a number of clothing stores as a pedestrian.
South Central is unique in that it has both vibrant and quiet areas, making it appealing to more people. Even though this neighborhood is not known for its lively ambience, with its approximately 10 bars, there are options for nighttime activities. At the same time, this part of Butte-Silver Bow (balance) is very good for those who like quiet surroundings, as there tend to be low levels of noise from traffic.
