The neighborhood features a mix of housing, with single detached homes comprising about 45 percent of the buildings, alongside duplexes and townhouses. Homes are mostly two or three bedrooms and tend to date from the early 1980s, reflecting solid construction and established development. Parking is readily available, and several bus lines offer some public transit options. A selection of local restaurants adds to the convenience and charm of the area.

The preferred method to navigate Salisbury is very often a car. It is especially convenient to park. On the other hand, public transit riders may find few choices in Salisbury by reason of the infrequent service. Nevertheless, residents have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are usually around the corner. The bike is a rather limited mode of transportation in Salisbury as the bicycling network is not very extensive. Nonetheless, there are few hills to confront bicycle riders. Many of the homes for sale in this community are located in places that are also not very well-suited for people who like to travel as pedestrians because running common errands is challenging without a vehicle.

It can be very difficult to travel to high schools and primary schools from houses for sale in Salisbury. At the elementary level, there are both public and private schools. Concerning food, in all but a limited number of cases, a car is required in Salisbury to access one of approximately 10 supermarkets. A small selection of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well.

Character

One of the highlights of Salisbury is its wide variety of green spaces. There are over 50 public green spaces close by for residents to check out, such as Sheep's Rock and Messenger Marsh, which makes them very easy to access from a large number of locations within this part of the Greater Boston metropolitan area. It is relatively calm in this community, since there are very few pedestrians.
