Riverton
Riverton offers a peaceful and quiet environment with minimal street noise, creating a calming atmosphere for all. The borough features a majority of single detached residences along with duplexes and townhouses, many of which were constructed before the 1960s, providing a charming character. Educational options are close by, with both public and private schools available at primary and high school levels. Grocery stores are conveniently located nearby, along with a variety of dining options. Transportation access includes nearby highways and a light rail station connecting to the Riverline Light Rail, complemented by a local bus route.
The fairly good public transit service allows people to get to many destinations without needing a vehicle thanks to 3 rapid transit stations (Riverton Light Rail Station, Cinnaminson Light Rail Station and Palmyra Light Rail Station) on the Riverline Light Rail, and a few nearby bus lines. However, Riverton is not particularly suited for cycling because the bicycling network is fairly poor, and there are a fair number of slopes. Most houses for sale in this part of the Greater Philadelphia metropolitan area are located in places that are not especially convenient for people who like to travel as pedestrians as carrying out daily needs is sometimes challenging without a vehicle. On the other hand, Riverton is very car friendly. It is a rather short car ride to the closest highway from anywhere in Riverton, and it is very easy to find a parking spot.
It is a short pedestrian trip to get to both primary and secondary schools from anywhere in Riverton. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and secondary schools. When it comes to eating, a supermarket is ordinarily reachable within a short distance from any home in Riverton. A small number of restaurants and cafes are available as well.
Riverton offers a relaxed environment. Riverton is very quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor. Parks aren't well-situated, which makes them rather difficult to access. Still, there are approximately 20 green spaces nearby for residents to enjoy, including Disston Park and Pennypack on the Delaware.
