Reserve is a peaceful neighborhood with a slower pace that offers residents a tranquil atmosphere along mostly quiet streets. The area features primarily single detached homes from the mid-1970s, with a range of two- and three-bedroom options available. Several public and private schools serve the community at both the elementary and secondary levels, providing convenient access to education. Grocery and dining establishments are accessible for many nearby, and parking availability is convenient for vehicle users. Though bicycling infrastructure is limited, flat terrain allows for smooth travel to various destinations within the neighborhood. Regala Park provides nearby public green space for outdoor activities.

The favored method to move around in Reserve is very often a car. It is very easy to find a place to park. Even though there are a limited number of elevation changes, getting around by bicycle is challenging in Reserve as the cycling infrastructure is not very extensive. This community is also not very well-suited for those who travel as pedestrians as very few common errands can be run without needing a vehicle.

Services

A supermarket is usually reachable within a reasonably short trip from anywhere in this part of the New Orleans metropolitan area. There are also about 20 restaurants in this community. When it comes to education, primary schools are convenient to access without the use of a vehicle from most homes for sale in Reserve. On the other hand, high schools are not particularly plentiful and therefore not always within a short distance. Besides public schools, there are private elementary and high schools.

Character

The character of Reserve is exemplified by its calm ambience. Most areas in Reserve are quiet, as there isn't a lot of street noise or city clamor - however some parts can be quite loud, especially around one of the railway lines or the airport (St John The Baptist Parish). Getting to parks in the community, including Juan Anthony Joseph, is rather challenging since they aren't well-located. Despite that, there are a few public green spaces nearby for residents to explore.
