The car is very often the best method to navigate this community. It is very easy to find a place to park. However, Puako is not very transit friendly. Nonetheless, there are a few bus lines, and the closest bus stop is typically close by. Although a fair number of people decide to move around by bike, and it is a flat ride to most destinations, this community is not particularly conducive to biking since the cycling network is rather limited. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very practical for house buyers in Puako because almost no common errands can be run without needing a vehicle.
