Cars are a great medium of transportation in Prospect. It is very convenient to park. Biking is difficult in this city as the cycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive, and there are a fair number of elevation changes. Prospect is also not very well-suited for pedestrians since very few common errands can be run without a vehicle.

There are only a very small number of primary schools in Prospect and therefore they can be a very long pedestrian trip away. Additionally, this part of the Louisville/Jefferson County metropolitan area does not contain any high schools. In terms of eating, in most cases, a car is required in Prospect to reach the nearest grocery store. A limited selection of restaurants and cafes is available as well.

People who prefer a relaxed atmosphere will enjoy Prospect. Prospect is very quiet overall, as noise from the streets and other parts of the city is rarely an issue.
