This area is cycling-friendly. Getting around as a pedestrian is also moderately practical for property owners in this area; running daily errands is convenient without needing to use a car. Powell Valley is not very transit friendly. Nevertheless, there is Cleveland Ave MAX Station on the MAX Blue Line. House owners have access to a few bus lines, and bus stops are not very far-removed from most homes. On the other hand, cars are a very good mode of transportation in Powell Valley. It is easy to park, and it is a short drive to the closest highway from any location in Powell Valley.

Although the ambience is not the most lively in this part of the city with its a few nightlife venues, there are options for nighttime activities.
