Driving is an excellent medium of transportation in Pahoa. The majority of the street infrastructure is conducive to cars, and finding a parking spot is generally easy. On the other hand, the transit infrastructure in this community is quite bad. Nevertheless, property owners are served by a few bus lines, and bus stops are ordinarily within a short distance. Cycling is very hard in this community because there are a fair number of slopes, and the bicycling infrastructure is not very comprehensive. Getting around as a pedestrian is also not very feasible for house buyers in Pahoa since meeting daily needs is difficult without needing a car.

It is convenient to get to the closest supermarket as a pedestrian from any location in Pahoa. A limited number of restaurants and coffee shops can be found as well. Regarding education, both primary and secondary schools are easy to access as a pedestrian from most properties for sale in Pahoa.
