Northside features a tranquil atmosphere with generally calm streets near major roadways and the airport. The community offers many single detached homes alongside mobile homes, with a range of spacious residences, including three and four-bedroom options. Approximately half of the housing developments are relatively new, built after the year 2000, enhancing modern comfort. Residents have convenient access to over 30 supermarkets and more than 100 restaurants, providing diverse dining and shopping opportunities. There are also about 20 green spaces available nearby for outdoor leisure. Although bicycling infrastructure is limited, the area’s flat terrain allows for easier navigation by bike when preferred.

Cars are a great transportation option in Northside. Finding a parking spot is generally easy, and nearby highways, such as State Hwy 9a, are easy to reach from any home in Northside. In contrast, commuting by transit can be very difficult in this part of Jacksonville due to the infrequent service. Thankfully, the community is connected by a few bus lines. Although there are a limited number of slopes for cyclists to brave, the bicycle is a rather poor method of transportation in Northside since the cycling network is not very extensive. It is also inconvenient for pedestrians to navigate Northside as very few common errands can be run without the use of a car.

Services

It can be challenging to get to high schools and primary schools from houses for sale in Northside. Locals can choose between public and private schools at both the elementary and secondary school level. With respect to food, it is very rarely feasible for house buyers in Northside to travel to one of around 50 grocery stores without a car.

Character

People who prefer a relaxed atmosphere will enjoy Northside. The noise levels in Northside are very low, as the streets tend to be very tranquil close to State Hwy 9a, I-95, the airport (Jacksonville Intl) or the railway line. It is occasionally challenging to get to public green spaces within the community since they are sparse. Still, there are over 150 parks close by for residents to check out.
