The car is usually the preferred method to navigate Northridge. It is very convenient to find a place to park. This community is not very cycling-friendly as there are a good number of hills for cyclists to brave, and there are few bike lanes. Traveling as a pedestrian is also not very practical for property owners in Northridge since many daily needs are inconvenient to carry out without a car.

It is a rather short pedestrian trip to get to primary as well as high schools from most properties for sale in Northridge. In addition to public schools, there are private elementary and high schools. As far as eating is concerned, shopping for one's groceries often requires the use of a car in this part of the Springfield metropolitan area.
